WHAT YOU’LL DO

Help us make the best coffee in Canada by ensuring our production facility is clean, safe and ready to roast every day. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining a food-safe environment by cleaning, sanitizing and preparing roasting and packaging equipment for production. This work is physical, hands-on and detail oriented. And it might just be for you.

• Follow sanitation procedures and cleaning schedule to maintain a clean and food-safe production environment.
• Perform end-of-day cleaning and sanitization activities throughout the plant.
• Clean cooling trays, roaster exteriors, mixers, green bean loading equipment, WIP bins, grinders, silos, floors, platforms and other production surfaces.
• Conduct roaster exhaust cleaning and support preventative maintenance cleaning activities.
• Clean and sanitize packaging equipment, tools, conveyors, tables and auxiliary equipment.
• Assist with the shutdown and startup of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as greasing bearings and supporting the assembly and disassembly of equipment.
• Safely operate equipment including forklifts, boom lifts and scissor lifts to access and clean production areas.
• Inspect equipment and work areas, identifying and reporting maintenance, safety or sanitation concerns.
• Follow all health and safety, food safety, sanitation and quality program policies and procedures.
• Participate in Kaizen (continuous improvement) initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Physical ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs (with help from the team), and perform repetitive cleaning, lifting, pushing, twisting, climbing, standing and bending up to 12 hours per shift.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around roasting, packaging and warehouse equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and workplace organization.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort performing routine maintenance tasks.
• Possess a good understanding of workplace safety and willingness to learn and follow policies, procedures, and standard work instructions.
• Reliable, accountable and willing to jump in whenever needed to support operations.
• Experience in industrial cleaning, food production, manufacturing, sanitation or facility maintenance is considered an asset.
• Forklift, boom lift, scissor list and Fall Production certifications are required (training will be provided if you don’t have these already).
• Legally entitled to work in Canada. 

THE DETAILS

• This is an on-site position located in Invermere, BC.
• This is a full-time, permanent position in our Maintenance team. There are multiple positions open to fill the following shifts:
  • Monday to Thursday working 4-10 hour shifts from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM (*eligible for overnight premium).
  • Friday to Sunday working 3-12 hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (*eligible for overnight premium).
• The hourly rate for this role is $28.17. Eligible overnight shifts receive a 15% premium on top of their base wage. Additional wage premiums are available based on skills, shifts, and added responsibilities (e.g., training, shift lead).

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Ensure we deliver the best coffee in Canada. You’ll play a critical role in upholding quality standards at every stage, from roasting to packaging. You’ll learn what premium looks like, smells and tastes like and work to protect that standard every day. This work requires attention to detail, consistency and accountability. 

• Follow standard operating procedures and quality control checklists, weight verification, seal integrity and packaging accuracy.
• Monitor and conduct regular quality checks in our production processes collaborating with roasting packaging and warehouse team to address quality issues in real time.
• Collect, record, and analyze data to ensure products meet internal specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Support sensory evaluation processes, including cupping and tasting, to verify flavour profiles and product consistency.
• Identify non-conformances, escalate issues and assist in our root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in ERP and quality systems, ensuring traceability of materials and finished goods.
• Perform basic troubleshooting related to quality deviations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety, and quality assurance programs (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
• Participate in Kaizen (continuous improvement) initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
• Cross-train across plant operations to understand quality at each stage—from roasting to packing to warehousing.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Physical ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs (with help from the team), lifting, pushing, twisting and bending in a manufacturing environment on an inspection station, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Basic computer skills and data entry experience are required; experience with Microsoft Excel is an asset. A willingness to learn new systems and tools is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
• A solid understanding of workplace safety and food safety practices, with the ability to follow policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Previous experience in quality control, food manufacturing, or a production environment is considered an asset.
• Ability to identify problems, think critically, and contribute to solutions in a team-based environment.

• This is a full-time, permanent position in our Quality department, working an average of 40 hours per week with a paid half hour lunch on 8-hour shifts. We will also consider candidates looking for part-time work – don’t let this stop you from applying!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Keep the plant running – while you learn how it all works. You’ll be hands on with the equipment that roasts, grinds and packages Canada’s #1 whole bean coffee supporting the team that keeps everything moving. You won’t be expected to know it all, but you will be expected to show up ready to learn, help out, and get in there. You’ll follo the plan when things are running smoothly and step in to support when they’re not. It’s physical, technical, and always evolving. You’ll build real skills, fast. 

• Support troubleshooting and repair of equipment alongside experienced technicians.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production, packaging, and plant equipment.
• Assist with diagnosing issues and improving equipment reliability.
• Help execute corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Support equipment setup, changeovers, and daily operational readiness.
• Assist with rebuilding and testing worn parts and equipment.
• Help track, organize, and count spare parts inventory.

• Technical school certificate or apprentice-level experience in a mechanical or electrical trade.
• A strong interest in learning a skilled trade and working toward journeyperson certification.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems (motors, circuits, VFDs, or similar).
• Ability to read and understand basic schematics, blueprints, or technical documents.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• A logical, step-by-step approach to learning and problem solving.
• Willingness to ask questions, take feedback, and build new skills.
• Basic computer skills (Office 365); ability to document and track work.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Keep the plant running. You’ll be hands on with the equipment that roasts, grinds and packages Canada’s #1 whole bean coffee. When things break, you fix them. • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment across roasting, packaging, and facility systems.
• Install, modify, and upgrade machinery to improve performance and reliability.
• Work closely with production teams to keep equipment running efficiently and minimize downtime.
• Plan and complete preventative maintenance in line with our PM Program.
• Track and manage spare parts and critical inventory.
• Identify root causes of equipment issues and implement long-term fixes (not band-aids).
• Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives to improve flow and reduce waste.
• Work collaboratively with teammates, cross-functional partners, and external contractors.
• Mentor and support apprentices and developing technicians.
• Accurately document work, issues, and improvements.
• Follow all health, safety, and quality program requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Physical ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs (with help from the team), lifting, pushing, twisting and bending on a manufacturing line, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ticketed Millwright or Electrician with at least 2+ years of experience working with industrial equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with root cause analysis.
• Experience working with mechanical systems such as vacuums, blowers, chain-veys, gearboxes and scales.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical control systems).
• Familiarity with HMI, VFDs, and PLC fundamentals.
• A logical step-by-step approach to diagnosing and fixing problems.
• Clear communication – able to translate technical issues into straightforward language.
• Basic computer skills (Office 365); experience documenting and tracking issues.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Make the best coffee in Canada. You’ll be involved in every step of the process from preparing green beans to roasting and packaging the finished product. You’ll learn what premium quality looks, smells and tastes like and will work to uphold those standards. This work can be repetitive and physically demanding. It’s not for everyone. But it might be for you. 

• Follow standard operating procedures and departmental checklists to roast, bag and box our beans.
• Operate roasting and packaging equipment using HMI touch screen.
• Roast coffee, following clear recipes and roast profiles.
• Pack, inspect, bag, and box coffee, inspecting all finished products to ensure quality control standards are being met.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on some equipment and working alongside our Maintenance team.
• Safely transport coffee beans throughout our facility, via forklift. 
• Perform daily clean-ups and room preparations including hoppers, pipes, de-stoners, bins and silos.
• Enter data into ERP software, tracking coffee information and recipes, allocating materials and maintaining inventory.
• Follow all health and safety and quality program policies and procedures.
• Participate in Kaizen (continuous improvement) initiatives.
• Cross train across plant operation areas from roasting, to packing, to warehousing.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Physical ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs (with help from the team), lifting, pushing, twisting and bending on a manufacturing line, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Basic computer skills and data entry experience is required. Experience using Microsoft Excel is an asset. Open to learning and developing new skills is a must!
• Possess a good understanding of workplace safety and willingness to learn and follow policies, procedures, and standard work instructions.
• Previous work experience in a manufacturing or production setting, and operating production equipment or packaging machinery is considered an asset.
• Forklift operator certificate or a willingness to obtain.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

• This is an on-site position located in Invermere, BC.
• This is a full-time, permanent position in our Production department, working an average of 40 hours per week with a paid half hour lunch on 8-hour shifts.
• The hourly rate for this role is $25.67. Additional wage premiums are available based on skills, shifts, and added responsibilities (e.g., training, shift lead, multi-area work).
• Shifts can start as early as 5 AM and run as late as 11 PM, Sunday to Saturday.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Keep the coffee moving – in, out, and exactly where it needs to be. You’ll be hands-on in a fast-moving warehouse environment, picking, packing, loading, and receiving with speed and accuracy. Priorities shift, trucks run late, things change. You roll with it, keep things organized, and make sure every shipment is done right and on time. 

• Pick, pack, label and ship orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Receive deliveries, inspect goods, and match shipments to paperwork.
• Move products and materials throughout the facility (forklift included).
• Stage and prep materials to support daily operations and production.
• Track inventory and enter shipment data in systems.
• Work closely with your team to stay aligned to shipping schedules and priorities.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized and running smoothly.
• Jump in where needed adapting to delays, changes, and shifting needs.
• Support inventory counts, product put-away, and internal order builds (Café, DTC).
• Follow safety and quality program practices.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You’re the vital link between our Café team, keeping everything running smoothly. You’ll maintain a clean, welcoming space for guests, ensuring the display case is fully stocked, and fridges, shelves, and supplies are replenished. From clearing tables and doing dishes to taking orders at the till and keeping the café in tip-top shape - you’re always one step ahead of the game. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Offer outstanding customer service with a focus on prioritizing the customer experience.
• Run food and drinks to tables, ensuring the right order is in the right place.
• Keep the Café running smoothly by clearing tables, stocking the food display, and helping customers. This includes washing dishes, keeping tools and ingredients clean and organized, and handling garbage and recyclables.
• Restock fridges, syrups, merchandise, the condiment bar, grab-and-go fridge, and any other supplies as needed.
• Anticipate customer and Café needs by staying aware of the environment and answering any customer requests or questions. 
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and communicate when supplies are running low. This includes the inside area of the Café as well as the Patio. 
• Follow Kicking Horse Coffee's operational procedures for food handling, cash handling, and safety.
• Helping the Kitchen with basic prep work when needed. 

QUALIFICATIONS

MUST HAVES:

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Solid ability to deliver Kick Ass customer service.
• Scheduling flexibility. We’re open 7 days per week in the summer and 5 days per week the rest of the year. The work hours for this role will vary based on scheduling needs and will mainly be used to support busy periods, such as weekends and holidays, as well as coverage for other team members’ vacation time and health days.

ASS-ETS:

• Prior experience in the coffee industry or a café.
• Food Safe Level 1 Certification.
• Experience with cash handling and POS systems.

SCHEDULING & WAGE

This is a seasonal, on-site position located in Invermere, BC. The Café operates seven days a week in the summer, with scheduling requirements that include weekends and statutory holidays. We are currently looking for a team member to join us on a full-time or part-time basis. The wage for this role is $18.50 per hour and is eligible for tips.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Create an exceptional experience for all our Café guests, while working with people who love what they do. Your day-to-day will involve crafting quality beverages, running the register, restocking merch, and clearing tables. This is our signature café – there’s no other like it. It only makes sense that our customer service is at the same level of legendary, which is why you’ll be providing a kick-ass experience to everyone who walks through our doors. In a nutshell, yeah, you’ll be making delicious coffee… but you’ll also be creating a one-of-a-kind experience that warms hearts and blows minds. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Offer outstanding customer service with a strong focus on prioritizing the guest experience through connection, hospitality, and great coffee.
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages to café standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and speed.
• Run food and drinks to tables when needed, ensuring orders are delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Support smooth café operations by clearing tables, stocking the food display, and assisting customers as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café, including washing dishes, keeping tools and ingredients clean and organized, and managing garbage and recycling.
• Restock fridges, syrups, merchandise, the condiment bar, grab-and-go fridge, and other supplies as needed.
• Anticipate café and guest needs by staying aware of your surroundings and responding to customer requests or questions.
• Participate in ongoing training and taste testing to build product knowledge and continuously develop barista skills.
• Keep all workspaces clean and organized, including both indoor café areas and the patio, and communicate proactively when supplies are running low.
• Follow Kicking Horse Coffee’s operational procedures for food handling, cash handling, beverage preparation, and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS 

MUST HAVES:

• Previous food and beverage experience (café, restaurant, or similar environment)
• Love for coffee. If you aren’t keen to make a mean cup of joe or learn about all things coffee, this may not be for you.
• Love for people. You create real connections with people.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to keep pace in a quick-moving, team-focused environment. 
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

ASSETS:

• Food Safe Level 1 or 2 certification. 
• Coffee education, including latte art, brewing methods, espresso calibrations, and knowledge of flavour profiles. 
• Point of sale systems and cash handling experience. 

SCHEDULING & WAGE

This is an on-site position located in Invermere, BC. The Café operates seven days a week in the summer and five days a week outside of the summer months. Scheduling requirements include weekends and statutory holidays. We currently have permanent positions available, offering full-time hours. The wage for this role ranges from $19.00 - $23.64 per hour (depending on experience) and is eligible for tips.

WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

You are part of our on-call crew that supports our production crew, roasting and packaging our kick-ass beans. With a strong commitment to safety and quality, you will pack, inspect, box and prepare to ship the best beans in the country. In the roasting room, you will support set up, equipment cleaning and keep an eye on green bean quality. You’ll also be a chauffeur to our beans, transporting them between our roasting room and packaging machines. This work can be repetitive and physically demanding but that’s not all. Our crew likes to learn, and you will have the opportunity to learn and grow across the spectrum of coffee production activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Packaging

• Follow standard operating procedures to bag and box our beans.
• Inspect all finished products to ensure quality control standards are being met.
• Perform daily clean-ups and room preparations.
• Special project tasks as assigned.
  

Roasting

• Prep the roasting room for production according to the daily roast list.
• Manually load green beans into roasting hoppers, ensuring precise recipe compliance.
• Transport roasted beans from roasting to packaging, ensuring accurate labelling.
• Weigh and enter roasted coffee info to our ERP system.
• Perform daily clean-ups and room preparations.
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Physical ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs (with help from the team), lifting, pushing, twisting and bending on a manufacturing line, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Basic computer skills and data entry experience is required. Experience using Microsoft Excel is an asset. Open to learning and developing new skills is a must!
• Possess a good understanding of workplace safety and willingness to learn and follow policies, procedures, and standard work instructions. 
• Forklift operator certificate or a willingness to obtain.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

OTHER INFORMATION 

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• This is an on-site position located in Invermere, BC.
